...and we're back! A chapter title'll be forthcoming.
I can't even remember when I built this set. A year ago now? Maybe more. Funny that I finally get to use it now.
Incidentally, the New Year's interlude strips from three months ago? Now canon. The kendo samurai has a job there...
Nice to see you back, L.B. and nice to see new strips! :D This set is very well designed! ;)
Need any coffee deliveries I know a company with a 100% zombie guarantee and no ickky after taste*.
*No taste testers have survived long enough to get to the after taste and the zombies don't care.
How're things going with the comic schedule, L.B.? If you can't manage a comic this weekend don't let it worry you too much, I'm keen on seeing new comics posted but if real life is interrupting you gotta deal with that first! :D
Yay! New episodes!
Okay, so I'm a little late.
Sorry, all - I hate to shut back down after just one page, but three developments have kept me from building and creating of late:
1) house robbed just before the strip made,
2) ongoing classwork has surprised me, and
3) likely moving within the month in response to #1.
Sorry for the delay, but crunch time is crunch time. It's not like I ever unpacked the LEGO fully in the first place, at least.
Well, hopefully the thieves weren't after the LEGO collection. The thing is, does moving really benefit in regards to #1? I guess you've discussed to death the probability that the place you moved from would be just as likely to have been hit by random robbery attempts.
Anyway, enough rambling, good luck whichever way you decide to go, and please try to keep us informed! ;)
Oh, and as an added deterrent, I reckon you should put out servings of Exile's coffee within easy reach of access points thieves are likely to use! ;)
We'd been starting to think that the current location wasn't going to work pretty soon after we moved in for other reasons (toddler safety, primarily, but also utilities economy), but the robbery put it over the top.
The criminal element made off with my wife's computer fund, alas - almost as much as the deductible. That was all, fortunately. The return trip had no success (seriously, the criminal element returned) but we had the front windows tested (and a screen thrown down) and some evidence left behind in the back, which we're hoping yields something useful for the constabulary.
If I could be sure that the anti-personnel coffee would get the right person...
It's kind of dependant on if they are interested in drinking something that stays hot for hours under its own power.
I could send cupcakes but they're not child friendly.
I keep those in mind for my classroom, Exile.
@Lich Barrister: Give the wannabe thieves two weeks worth of teaching your class and see if they still want to commit robberies afterwards! :D
I'd suggest you hire Exile's mutant flesh devouring pizzas if it wasn't for the fact that you might be asked too many questions by police investigating missing persons reports! :D
I will explain... No. It is too much. I will sum up: we're now mostly moved in, though unpacking is still an issue. (The previous place is still rented to us, damnit, and I'll have to get on cleaning it soon.) The new place is much bigger, but has its own challenges - like us taking in some international students and some family for the summer, which takes up all the possible extra places for the LEGO - except the garage, where most of it will reside. The 'figs and some sets will live in a bin under my bed in hopes that I get on some cartooning in a few more weeks. Maybe...
Good to see you around L.B, if all else doesn't go wrong, like more burglaries, it looks like it's cartoon cramming time! As in getting a whole summer's worth of cartoons shot and ready, mass-production style, hopefully by then you'll be able to make a more workable solution to the dilemma of where it will reside. I don't mind what the storyline will do or where it will go, but at least having something to read will be good enough for me! ;)
Cheers, BV. I'm idly brainstorming some stuff, but haven't quite figured out what things will become. I have an inkling or two, though - just a matter of thinking them through a bit and setting a road map in place.
One effect compressing the shooting and planning stages will have is to make the story seem a lot more cohesive if prepared correctly. Just make sure the road map isn't full of potholes! ;)
Well, it looks like this comic is now basically dead. Sigh.
At least you managed to finish the play.
I'm not intending to let it die, but it's been a comatose kind of a year. I'm hoping that things will settle down and be less fraught in a week or so, but right now there's just not enough hours in the day. I'm really sorry - but I do have some surprising things in mind, and even a plot! (Which could itself be a surprise...)
If by 'comatose' you mean that the lack of updates reeks with smells nobody would go near, yeah I suppose that's correct!
Look on the bright side, with smells like that they make good burglar repellent, should can it and market it, be a small fortune for you and the mrs. ;) /joking
Seriously, though, I would like to see a return to regularly scheduled comics, that is, if you feel the burglars have been sufficiently repelled! :D
