I've been calling Lennox and Ross "Captain Exposition" for a lot longer than this strip's been around. I like the term. Here Lennox offers rote induction and moves onto his hunches in a hushed voice.
There are many ways that this scene can be played out, with Lennox an active plotter, and in others the consummate lackey of the throne. Once you start cutting for basic understanding in a page, you lose some of those wrinkles.
There's those dwarven lawyers again! Even going so far as to disguise their physical size! ;) I sure hope they remembered to get their sophrosyne and leave their hubris at home! :D
Alas, no - the dwarves are still back in the original dimension where things happened. The costume for "A Lord" (seriously, he doesn't have a name - just a caste) is an uncanny resemblance, though.
If one looks closely, the identity of "A Lord" can be figured out. Auditioned and everything!
Okay, I give up. Which one was it again, the strips in the auditioning just don't seem to be ringing any bells, and I just looked at them right now, too, dangit!
